Research data sharing bid from the Knowledge Exchange (KE)

A couple of interesting 'research data' related items have dropped into my inbox this week and caught my eye. Well not necessarily my email inbox, but more into my 'landscape RDM monitoring' inbox, from various communication channels!

A pilot study on  the use of incentives to share research data

The Knowledge Exchange are looking for an experienced sociologist or social scientist with expertise in the research dynamics or in the research sociological domains . They are inviting bids for work to conduct a pilot study on the use of incentives to share research data.

The aim of the study is to provide evidence and examples of useful incentives for data sharing from the researchers’ point of view. Proposals need to be submitted by 17th February 2014 and further information on the call is available here

A new 'data' publication for the biomedical, life and environmental science communities

Also an email alert from the Nature Publishing group with a reminder that Scientific Data the new OA, online-only publication for descriptions of scientifically valuable datasets is currently calling for submissions. This publication will launch in May 2014 and is one way of making your data more discoverable, interpretable and reusable.
